A Victorian Hallmarked Silver Three Piece Tea Set, Alexander Macrae, London 1859, each profusely detailed with flowerheads and leaf scrolls, with leaf capped scroll handles, raised on scroll pad feet, the tea pot with seated figure finial and bearing presentation inscription "Presented by the Members and Assistants of The Bass Choir of the Sacred Harmonic Society to Mr John Whitehorn in testimony of their respect & esteem on his retirement from the Office of Superintendent July 1861", jug and sugar bowl gilt lined and initialled (total weight 1635grams); together with a pair of hallmarked silver sugar tongs, (repair) initialled, all contained in a fitted travel box, with hinged lid and side carry handles, complete with key, box 37cm wide.
